Questioning the Middle East Minister

Today the Foreign Affairs Committee questioned the Minister for the Middle East as part of our enquiry on Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

I asked questions related to my recent visit to the region, including what the UK Government is doing about settler violence in the West Bank.

40,000 Palestinian people have been displaced from their homes in Jenin, the Israeli Government have not allowed them to return.

I asked the Minister to clarify what the UK Government is doing to prevent this forced displacement and the escalation of violence in the region.

I visited Hostage Square, I felt and saw a nation in deep grief and collective trauma.

I asked the Minister what the UK Government is doing to help secure the release of all remaining hostages and the return of the bodies - key to any peace deal.
