Speaking out on Israel’s treatment of UK Parliamentarians

The Israeli Government's detention and treatment of British MPs is unacceptable.

My recent visit to the West Bank allowed me to bear witness to what is happening on the ground - I saw the violence and fear experienced by Palestinians firsthand. I saw what cutting off of water, electricity and aid has done. I saw the demolitions of family homes that have taken place in the old city.

Meeting with former Israeli hostages and their families, walking through hostage square laid bare the grief, trauma and suffering.

The Israeli Government's actions only serve to undermine long term efforts for peace. We must continue to speak up and we will not allow our voices as elected members of British parliament to be silenced.
