Westfield Stratford

Productive meeting with Westfield Stratford’s management team to follow up on safety and crime concerns raised by local residents.

It’s the busiest shopping centre in Europe, but that doesn’t mean we have to accept the behaviours of a few who ruin it for the rest of us.

From rising antisocial behaviour to recent dangerous incidents, it’s clear action is needed. I visited their state of the art control room to see how their latest CCTV technology is helping local police catch criminals in the act.

I’ll continue working with Westfield, local police, city hall and the community to push for stronger safeguards, better patrols and a zero-tolerance approach to crime.
